"If We Don't Do It Then Who?"

Adesegun Fatusi, head of the Department of Community Health at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Nigeria, says his university’s partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health has led to dramatic changes. One of the most important: OAU has replaced a master in community health degree with the universally recognized MPH. “Before the partnership, we never thought seriously of this change,” he says.
