A Poem for Aunt Ellen

Hung-Hung LiHung-Hung Li

Another star in the sky,
As Aunt Ellen says her goodbye.
A sweetest soul on earth,
The kindest heart there is.
She has helped many who might have not been as nice
But she treats all with gentleness.
We'll miss her for sure around here.
She will be resting in peace somewhere near.

I wrote this when I heard my Aunt (Ah Yi in Chinese) was rushed to the hospital emergency room. She was always in decent health ..10 years younger than my mom.  I didn't have a good feeling about her outcome.  She died a day later after I wrote the poem. Should I have written it?
