Discovering JiVitAland

The decade-old JiVitA Project is one of the world’s largest community trials of the role of nutrition in maternal and infant survival. By the trial’s conclusion in 2011, Project workers will have recruited more than 100,000 pregnant women and their babies with a grand goal in mind: Find new ways to save the lives of mothers and infants in the vast rural regions of South Asia.
